Fall Update!

Hurricane Season!  Everyone has heard about the unprecedented hurricane season here in Florida.  Never before in recorded history (only about 150 years) has any state been hit by 4 major (Cat 3 or higher) hurricanes in one season.  And the season may not be over.  The good news is that despite every hurricane aiming at South Florida (where we are) none hit us at all!

We have tremendous availability right now of lush tropical foliage and flowering plants.  This is our peak season as far as growth.  Plants available now have been grown during our tropical rainy (sometimes windy) season.  We see very vigorous lush foliage this time of year.  Many plants are as big as we will see all year.

We had a great, busy Trade Show Summer, visiting Greenville SC, Columbus OH, and Atlanta.  We have two more shows upcoming.  One in Toronto Oct. 20-21, Garden Expo.  The other is the Americas Food and Beverage Show, Dec. 1-2.  We look forward to expanding our successful export program with these shows targeting Canada and the Caribbean.

Everyone is talking about our Custom Label program.  Our garden center customers are getting custom care labels for every plant we ship.  The labels include their Logo, Plant Name and Common Name, Care Info, and often retail prices.  Our Interiorscape customers are even asking for labels with the plant name and ‘Born On’ date (ship date).   

We are already preparing for Christmas 2004.  Poinsettias have been ordered and we expect an excellent season.  King’s is an export specialist when it comes to shipping Christmas plants to the Caribbean.  Our local customers can also look forward to very high quality Greenhouse Grown Poinsettias in pots up to 10”!!!
